Can you cook indoors?
Of course, we just need adequate ventilation as with any other gas appliance.
Dorset Hog Roast BBQ uses the very best machinery that allows us to cook in most indoor locations. Alternatively we can simply cook outside and bring the hog inside to present the spectacle of carving.

How is the hog cooked?
We start spit roasting the hog at our premises eight hours before arriving at your event, then it gets transported in the hot oven & continues to roast for another two hours prior to serving. We can also cook on site depending on your location.

How much space do I require?
A surprisingly small area! We only require a space of 3 x 3 metres.

What happens if it rains?
Firstly it probably won't! If it does rain we are not affected as we cook in our marquee, the food can then be transferred and served indoors which makes sure you and your guests are not inconvenienced.

How long to serve?
Chef and server's usually serve for up to two hours then when all guests are fed they begin to clear the equipment.

Is food taken away?
No. All remaining meat, rolls, salads etc are left for the organiser to continue with their event.

What will the organiser need?
Access to a domestic electricity supply and an area with table space to place the food that has not been served before we leave.

How many people can you cater for?
We can cater for groups between 40 and 1000.

Can we choose different meats or vegetables?
Yes. We can provide lamb, beef or any other meat or vegetable combination you require - just ask us to quote a price.

Can we have crockery instead of disposables?
Yes. We can supply this - just ask us to quote a price.

Do you supply vegetarian food?
Yes. We provide a wide choice of vegetarian options. We can also cater for a range of dietary requirements, including gluten free at no extra cost - just ask us.

Where do you source your meat from?
All of our meat is sourced from a local trusted butcher. Free range pigs from Dorset and Hampshire. All of our other meat is English, free range and farm fresh.

What areas do you cover?
Devon, Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, London and beyond! - just ask us.

We wont have 80 guests but still want a hog roast.
Our hog roast event can now start with a minimum of 50 guests. Prices start at £499 or have a look at out 'take away' option which starts at £3.50 per person.
