Hog Roast and BBQ | Questions and Answers

Whats the lowest number of people you will provide a hog roast or BBQ for?
We can now cater for smaller parties. Our hog roast prices start at £499 for 50 guests. The minimum order for a BBQ is 30 guests. Contact us for more information
Can we have a hog roast in January, February or March?
Yes! We provide hog roasts and BBQ's throughout the year. If its cold or adverse weather we simply set up our serving table inside, its as easy as that!
When can we pay the balance?
We ask for the remaining balance to be paid no later than 7 days prior to the event date. If you want to pay it in advance its no problem.
Can you cook indoors?
No, we cannot take the hog roast machine or BBQ inside to cook. This is for health and safety reasons. We can however cook outside under our marquee and bring it in to serve if you wish.
How is the hog cooked?
We start spit roasting the hog at our premises between six and eight hours before arriving at your event (depending on the size of the pig), then it gets transported in the hog roast machine & continues to roast for up to another two hours prior to serving. We can also cook on site depending on your location.
How much space do you need?
A surprisingly small area! We only require a space of 3 x 3 metres.
How many people will a hog roast feed?
It depends on the size of the pig. A hog weighing 50kgs will feed 100-120 people. Once we have your final numbers we can arrange a suitable sized hog.
What happens if it rains?
Firstly it probably won't! If it does rain we are not affected as we cook in our marquee, the food can then be transferred and served indoors which makes sure you and your guests are not inconvenienced.
How long do you stay for?
We usually serve for up to 1.5 hours (depending on guest numbers) Then when all guests are fed & those wanting 2nd's have done we begin to clear the equipment & leave any remaining meat for you. We find after this time no one else wants to eat but if you want us to stay longer then we can. Contact us for more information.
Is leftover food taken away?
It's up to you. All remaining meat, rolls, salads etc are usually left for the organiser to continue with their event or if requested we can take it away.
What will the organiser need?
Access to a domestic electricity supply is helpful but not essential (let us know beforehand) and thats it!
We dont know our final numbers but want to book anyway.
We ask for the final numbers 1 week prior to the event date as we know things can change over a long period of time. The deposit secures the date.
